A Quick Business Synopsis
This message is posted by Don Higham, the owner of Don’s Classic Stamps.
By way of background, in 1974 I started my 40+ year career as a lawyer in solo practice. That is when I opened my first law office in my hometown of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. I started out in general practice, but after a few years I became a Prosecutor in the South Fraser Region. On leaving the Crown Counsel’s office, I devoted my efforts to defending those charged with Criminal Code offences. However, I eventually developed a Family and Divorce Law practice, this being my specialty area of law until my retirement in 2016.
During all of my working years, I actively pursued my compassion for stamp collecting. However, this hobby was subject to the ebb and flow of my professional duties. Still, I was able to acquire a vast collection of stamps – primarily from Canada and other British Commonwealth areas. Too, I also managed to buy many USA stamps, along with some from other world countries.
In 2016, rather than continuing only with my collecting interests, I made the decision to become a stamp dealer. My present online stamp store was opened in January, 2017. But this stamp shop is still very much a work-in-progress. I am constantly making “tweaks” to the site layout. This includes improving its functionality overall. However, at long last, it appears most of the bugs have been worked out. Thankfully!!
However, one area potential stamp customers will know I am struggling with is the implementation of a newsletter. And to those subscribers, thank you in advance for your patience. Not getting an email back from me must be so frustrating!! But this lack of communication is about to change, soon! By no later than June 1, I will be routinely sending out information of interest to stamp collectors worldwide.
Also, I have been continually adding to the over 3000 stamps currently listed on donsclassicstamp.com Over the next few months, another 1000 new stamps will be listed for sale – followed by 1000’s more thereafter. Therefore, you should check back on a regular basis to discover if the stamp you want is for sale.
Remember too, if you do not see the stamps you have on your want list, contact me directly at your earliest convenience. I have a very large inventory of stamps to process yet and, therefore, I could very well have the postage stamps you need. Let me know what collector stamps you are looking for.
Finally, it is important for you to know I am an active buyer of better quality rare, classic, old, and vintage stamps. – BUT only if the stamps have been primarily issued before 1950. To determine if the stamps in your collection could be of interest to me, take a few minutes to browse through the stamps I have for sale in my online stamp store. If the stamps you have for sale are similar, contact me for my immediate cash offer. I buy mint and used single stamps through to investment lots, accumulations and (huge) hoards of stamps.
